How to Add a Trailer into Trailer Placement (*)

1 - From the Schedule screen, click on the feature you want to add a Trailer Schedule.

 

 

2 - Then click on the SCHEDULE button in the lower right corner of the screen.

 

 

3 - This will be bring you to the Trailer Placement screen. 

 

 

4 - This screen shows the group you are adding Trailers for at the top of the screen.

 

 

5 - If the group is the incorrect group, then you can change it by selecting the correct group from the blue drop box in the upper right part of your screen.

6 - Click on the +TRAILER button in the lower left corner of your screen.


 

7 - This brings causes a pop-up that says, "Trailer" at the top of the box.  It also states this note:

"NOTE: If you are just trying to add an existing trailer to a request, please use the '+ Request' action, this will avoid duplicate entries for the same title. "

8 - TITLE (yellow box): This is the name of the Trailer but it's not what shows in your Trailer Placement list.
 
TRAILER DESCRIPTION (green box):  This is what you will see in the Trailer Placement list.

You can enter the same thing in each of these boxes. 

 

 

9 - VERSION: This is the version of the trailer you are adding.   If this is the first trailer for this feature you would typically label it as "1".  However, this is a freeform box and you can use what labeling device you need.

 

 

10 - FORMAT: This is a drop box.  The defaults will be 2D, 3D, IMAX 2D, and IMAX 3D.  These can be altered in the SETTINGS screen.

11 - HOURS, MINUTES, and SECONDS: Here is where you would type in the length of the trailer that you are adding.

 

 

12 - SCHEDULING STUDIO: Choose the studio of the feature. This is a drop box when you click in it.  However, you can search faster if you start typing out the name of Studio.

 

 

13 - DISTRIBUTOR:  Choose the distributor of the feature. This is a drop box when you click in it.  However, you can search faster if you start typing out the name of Studio.

 

 

13.1 - If a Distributor is not listed you can add one by clicking the plus sign (+) by the word "Distributor".

 

13.2 - This brings a pop-up box that is labeled "Add Distributor".

 

 

13.3 - Type the name of the Distributor in the NAME field (red box) and then click the blue SAVE button (yellow box).   You can click the grey CLOSE button if you do not want to add a distributor.

 

 

13.4 - The Distributor you have added will be in the Distributor drop box.

 

14 - RATING:  Select the rating of the trailer you are adding.

 

15 - RED BAND?: Select this box if the trailer is a RED BAND Trailer for restricted audiences.

 

 

16 - CPL UUID: This is unique identifier for the trailer.  This is what's sent out by the Distributor.

 

17 - CPL DESCRIPTION: This is the description that is created per the Digital Cinema Naming Convention.



 

18 - INITIAL RELEASE DATE: This is the release date of the feature that the trailer is for.




19 - MAKE 2D COPY UPON SAVE: If you chose "3D" as a format type, this box will appear to ask if you also want a 2D copy of the trailer to be put in the system.

 

20 - To finalize the adding of a trailer, click the blue SAVE button.  If you change your mind, you can click the grey CLOSE button and this box will close and the trailer will not be added.

 

21 - You will then see the added trailer in your Trailer Placement list.
