How to Add a New CPL (*)

Prerequisite - See Related Article: How to Get to Content Management

1 - To add a new CPL click on ADD in the left navigation bar and then click CPL.

 

 

2 -  You will see the CPL DETAILS screen.   Here you would fill out the necessary info to add a new CPL.

 

 

3 - There are two fields that are required and the rest are optional.   You must fill in the CPL Uuid and the Content Title fields.  The Uuid will be provided by the Content Distributor.   Fill in the Content Title with the title of the feature.

 

 

4 - The ANNOTATION field should be filled out per the Digital Naming Convention

 

 

5 - Choose the CONTENT TYPE from the drop down box.  This will tell us whether the Content is a Feature, Trailer, etc.

 

 

6 - Choose the and owner from the CONTENT OWNER drop down.

 

 

7 - ASSOCIATE CONTENT - You can associate this CPL to Content that already exists by typing in the name (in this box) and selecting the content you are seeking.

 

 

8 -  In the AUDIO LANGUAGE drop box, you can select the language in which the content's audio will play in.

 

 

9 - The SUBTITLE LANGUAGE field - Select the language in which the Subtitles of this feature will show.

 

 

10 - ASPECT RATIO field - Please choose the aspect ratio in which this film is shown from the drop box.

 

 

11 - 2D/3D field - Choose whether the movie is being shown in two dimensions (2D) or in 3 dimensions (3D).

 

 

12 - RESOLUTION field - Choose whether the movie is being shown in 2K or 4K resolution.

 

 

13 - DURATION (in Milliseconds) field - This field is shown in milliseconds.  There are a number of time converters on the internet that can convert minutes to milliseconds.  For example, 90 minutes is 5,400,000 milliseconds.

 

 

14 - NOTE: This field is only seen by DCIP employees.

SYSTEM CONTENT field -  This box is checked if the content you are adding will be available to be viewed/used (but not edited) by all Cinergy users.

 

 

15 - To complete this task click the SAVE button in the lower right corner of the screen.   Your CPL will be saved in the system.
