How do I validate Quality Failure mitigation?

Background: After a quality failure is created, the exhibitor has an opportunity to either accept the quality failure and pay the appropriate fee or dispute the quality failure. You may also want to go in and research each quality failure after creating it so you can provide more information to the exhibitor while they are researching the failures.

  1. Login to the portal at https://portal.dcipllc.com.

  2. Navigate to VPF > Missed Show & QF > Quality Failure Management.

  3. Set status filters as necessary. If you are looking for a quality failure that is being disputed you may want to set the filter to "Mitigated Pending Verification." If you are researching a quality failure that was recently created you may want to either set or filter to "Waiting for Exhibitor Response" or sort on the "Last Updated" column. Click on the Id of the quality failure you want to research.

  4. Since this is a new quality failure, there is no mitigation response information from the exhibitor. From this screen, you can click on the incident Id  to get background information, see any mitigation documents that may have been uploaded form the exhibitor on the "Mitigation Proof" tab, and set the status of the quality failure.

  5. To determine if the show was mitigated based on the performance log information you will need to look at the VPF Site Performances report. This can either be found in the portal by going to VPF > Booking Management > Booking, then typing in the name of the title you are looking for, then searching for the theater, clicking on the booking id, then clicking the "Site Performances" button; or, go to the SSRS server and navigating to VPF > VPF Analysis > Theater Performance Chart (http://reporting02.dcipllc.com/Reports/Pages/Report.aspx?ItemPath=%2fVPF%2fVPF+Analysis%2fTheater+Performance+Chart). Once you are in the chart, enter the date and location of the performance. Click "View Report."

  6. Take a screenshot of what you found and upload it under the "Mitigation Proof" tab.

  7. This particular missed show occurred in Auditorium 11 at AMC-6252 on 10/28/2015. The red bar stating "No Log Information" means we have not received performance logs for this screen. Since we have received performance logs for all of the other screens and we do not see "Jem and the Holograms" on any of the other screens, we cannot say that this show has been mitigated and there is a good chance the reason we have not received log information is due to the quality failure. If you were able to determine it had been mitigated you would set the status to "Mitigation Verified." If the exhibitor had already responded but you determined through the logs that the show had not been mitigated then you would set the status to "Quality Failure Accepted," essentially denying their mitigation claim. In this particular example we will not change the status, as the exhibitor may have other information such as ticket sales information that proves that we are simply missing a log file and the quality failure did not occur. They may also dispute the quality failure based on their understanding of the VPF contracts. Be sure to click Save if you changed the status. Uploaded documents are saved automatically.
